Handling the case of "former employees"
When an employee moves on from a company, can you remove them from the company in Satisfaction without losing their contributions? Can you mark their avatar with "former employee" or something?
In the case where they've contributed good content but are no longer officially affiliated with the company, it seems necessary to make the distinction that they're no longer an employee, while suggesting that, at least when they spoke, they had been in an official capacity...

Inappropriate? As usual, you ask a good question. I am going to have to poll our big brains and see what they think.

Inappropriate?Hi Chris,
We are actually working on this though I'm not sure of the ETA for completion as there are some other priorities ahead of it. We agree that once an employee leaves a company their employee designation should be removed but should remain for the content they contributed while an employee. I'm not sure if we'd discussed how to label that former employee status but I like the idea of just saying "Former employee".
I’m glad you asked
-
That's what I figured. It's one of those use cases that's hard to think of in advance and only shows up after some time of using a service. Glad you guys are thinking about it. -
Inappropriate?I am particularly interested in the answer to this question. Currently nothing I've ever posted shows that I was an employee when I posted it. Oops!
I’m not too concerned, and I'm sure it'll happen eventually
-
Inappropriate?doh! we were supposed to get that fixed before we swapped out your status. and, yes, we will get it fixed eventually. :)

Inappropriate?Just wondering what's happening with this feature...I have three former employees still attached to our account, and we would like to remove them from our official account mostly because each time we reply to all people getting the notifications of a new GS topic, we get a bunch of email bounce backs that clutters up the conversation. What is the current way to handle former employes that have (and haven't) contributed to a discussion? I can't seem to figure out how to remove people from our company.
I’m unsure
-
Inappropriate? Also, is there anyway as admin of our account to remove who gets email notifications of new topics created?
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Chysanthe: You can remove employees if you are an admin from the Roles page. Click on the "Remove" link next to their name.
Each person controls their own email notifications, and you can make those changes in your user settings. Admins don't have the ability to control that for other employees. Does that make sense? -
Inappropriate?Just wondering what's going to happen to all the responses from our former employee if I remove him...
-
As a former employee of Get Satisfaction, all the content I created no longer shows my employee badge. I'm not too concerned about that, since I believe the content stands on its own. -
Inappropriate?Their account won't be deleted, they just won't be attached to the company as an employee anymore. The content will remain.
