Help Center Won't Display Dashboard
My site's Help Center shows an error, "It looks like something went wrong.", each time I try to open my dashboard.

I have this problem, too!

Inappropriate? That doesn't sound good. Are you still seeing this? I logged into your company's Help Center, and I'm not seeing that particular error. But, it could be me.
I’m hoping it's not broken
-
Inappropriate?I was able to log in too. Perhaps it was just a burp.
If you see it again, what we'll need is the error from the error logs--that is, the webserver logs from your server. If you installed it yourself, you'll probably know where to find those; otherwise your sysadmin or someone like that should be able to get snippets for you. -
Inappropriate?I'm still seeing it as of today. Could it be because I'm an employee/admin that it behaves differently? I am able to login, I just can't get to the dashboard.
-
Inappropriate?Yes, perhaps it is related to the employee/admin status. When you set up a Help Center, all of your admin/employee bits will still be over here on Get Satisfaction. Although, you should be able to see your own dashboard on your Help Center. We will have to dig in a little deeper to figure this out.
I’m not sure (yet)
-
Inappropriate?I had already tried clearing my domain's cookies and that had not worked, but I now tried both and it also did not help. Could we perhaps make you an admin to see if you get another similar result?
-
Inappropriate?Just tried that, and nope. No error. Going to have to pull in the big brains.
-
Inappropriate?I just tried swicthing from Safari to Firefox where I had never used the HC or GS before, same issue.
-
Inappropriate?Oh, I failed to mention something until now because I was unsure if it was the intended behavior. Every time that I log in, the system asks permission to use GS again. I'm now guessing that this was not the desired behavior since my username has received 7 API authorizations.
-
Inappropriate? No, it should only ask once. That is a great clue. Thank you!
-
Inappropriate? Can you send us any lines from the server error log that are being generated when the error page is shown?
-
Thanks, Ezra! -
Inappropriate?I've actually never had to used raw logs with my new webhost before, but I've run through the login a few times and it seems to generate no errors. I'll let you know if I find otherwise.
-
Inappropriate?Do you guys have any more ideas on this?
-
Inappropriate?Ryan,
I'm confused. You said you haven't looked at the logs, but that you logged in a few times and "it seems to generate no errors." Does that mean you *did* look at the logs? Or that there you stopped getting errors as a user? -
Inappropriate? The logs I was referring to at the time were my server logs. What I meant is that there were no errors in the server logs files. Here is what I saw:

At the time I would get an error every time that I clicked on the dashboard, but that has since changed. Without any modification to my server's files I now do not get an error message. Instead, I get a notice that says I have not participated in any recent discussions.
Also, every time that I log in it still creates a new API authorization on my GC account. Should we perhaps try creating a new account on GC for me to see if that fixes it?
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Hi Ryan,
OK, this is very helpful. I suspect that Help Center is for some reason failing to parse the data coming from Get Satisfaction. Possibly that data has changed since you were first having problems, which would explain why things changed. I'll have a closer look as soon as I'm back from holiday (next week).
Thanks for your patience.
