Hey, I'm hearing some login issues. What are your solutions?

As a rather Satisfied Satisfaction user, I'm enjoying my experience here. However, some of our users are having login issues, that their email isn't being recognized. I'd like to point them in one direction to solve their problems, but where would that be? Thanks a bunch!

happy I’m representing!

In general, if you can't login, try and reset your password: That will ensure that they are putting an email that is attached to an account into the login box.

As a note (and what we have seen to be the most often cause) is that people get confused about the jump to a new site, and tend to assume that their login credentials for your service are the same for Get Satisfaction. We don't do a good enough job communicating that satisfaction is a separate site with separate accounts. This is an issue that we are working on solutions to, but that doesn't mean your site is up the creek. I recommend telling your users about the jump before you actually send them to satisfaction.

For example, rather than having a naked link that goes directly to your satisfaction site, you might try putting in an interstitial page that tell's the user:

"Hey, we use getsatisfaction.com to foster our community! It's an external service so you'll need to create an account with them, but don't worry, it's easy. Click here to go to GetSatisfaction and tell us what you think"

I think doing something as simple as that can help to alleviate some of the transitional issues your users might be having.

    happy I’m hoping that helps
