How can I make an existing product belong to my recently created company profile?
Hello. I've just set up a company profile for my team called SWAT ( http://getsatisfaction.com/swat/ ). We've developed three products, namely feedalizr, find2follow, and social graph. The latter two have been included in our profile already. However, feedalizr has not. This is because we own a dedicated company profile at http://getsatisfaction.com/feedalizr that holds a single product at http://getsatisfaction.com/feedalizr/... .
Question: How can I make feedalizr a product under the SWAT company profile? We don't want to lose any activity that has been created for this product so far. We want all the data! It's just a matter of changing the company that owns the product. I couldn't find this feature here.
If it was possible, we would eventually close the feedalizr company profile.
Thanks a lot!

Hi Otavio,
Ok, I want to be sure I'm clear on what you want here. You're wanting to move all the topics in http://getsatisfaction.com/feedalizr to http://getsatisfaction.com/swat but attached to the product Feedalizr? And then remove http://getsatisfaction.com/feedalizr all together?
There's actually a way you can do this yourself if you sign up for the Basic Package which includes topic moderation tools and currently comes with a 14 day free trial. One of those tools is the topic "move" tool. This allows you to move any topic to another community on GS. First you'll want to create the product "Feedalizr" in your SWAT community. Then you can move each of the topics to the SWAT community. (You'll have to do this one at a time, but at least there's only 4 pages of topics and not 20 :). Once they're moved over you can associate each one with the Feedalizr product by adding it to each topic about it.
Once you've done this, you can cancel the "Basic" package for http://getsatisfaction.com/feedalizr and then we can remove that community for you. (And if you enjoyed the topic moderation tools, you can sign back up for the Basic package for the SWAT community.)
Let me know what you think of this plan. For us to do this for you entails adding it to the queue for our development team and I can't make any promises about when it will get done as they are incredibly busy working on constantly making improvements to our site. So while it may be a bit tedious for you, I think you'll actually get it done quicker this way. :)

Thanks a lot Amy. It sounds like a good plan indeed. I'll give it a try, and let you know the results afterwards. -
Ok. Let me know if you have any questions along the way. You can always reach me at amy [at] getsatisfaction [dot] com as well. -
Sorry, I was logged in as feedalizr (the employee) when I posted the previous comment. Anyway, all topics have been moved over, now I just need to associate the feedalizr product to them. As I said before, it doesn't seem to be possible. Have a look at this snapshot: http://files.getdropbox.com/u/111597/... -- When we get it done, we can remove the old profiles all together (feedalizr company, product, and employee). BTW, removing the employee feedalizr will remove its replies and comments as well? -
Hi Otavio,
I'm taking a look at the situation now so we can complete this.
Removing that employee will not remove the content from that employee. I'll be back in touch via email shortly. -
Inappropriate?Just for the records, everything is settled now. Thanks a lot, you guys rock!
I’m thankful
