How did GetSatisfaction find 550 of my Twitter friends in seconds?
I just joined and GetSatisfaction and your system found 550 of my twitter friends in seconds! Two things, first a Follow All would have prevented my carpal tunnel.
Second, how the heck did you do that? None of the other social nets seem to be able to do that.

Inappropriate?Regarding the speed of the import,
We're still a pretty small user base, not millions and millions like the social networks of the world. I'm able to build the 'found' contacts list with basically two simple queries. The process will slow down as we grow, for sure, but I've got a couple of ideas up my sleeves on how to keep it speedy well into the tens of millions of user range. As we grow, I'll implement each improvement I have in mind as we need them.
Thanks,
Scott

Scott, you're doing something different. I've signed up for dozens of services over the last 6 mos. Anything related to Twitter chokes on my follower or following list. Plurk, FriendFeed etc, don't go past the first 100 followers.Do you download and store the lists locally? This is really drastically different than what's happening on the other sites.

Inappropriate?Hi Chris!
Interesting, you'll have to explain to me why you want to follow all of your Twitter contacts, that's a lot of people.
First, I'll start by explaining the reasoning behind not including a "Follow all":
We're trying to ask you to think about who you add, going for quality over quantity. Applications like Twitter or Facebook facilitate strengthening social connections and breed collecting and broadcasting to as many 'friends' as possible. Get Satisfaction, on the other hand, is focused on products, companies, and your particular interests. It's more like the music recommendation and sharing site Last.fm. Let me explain with an example: I won't add my best friend onto my contact list on Last.fm because I don't share his music tastes. It's certainly nothing personal, and in fact I follow people on last.fm that I've never met but who share my musical tastes!
Our contact system is just the beginning of a feature set that will help you find and share topics, products and expertise around your areas of interest.
It's about what you're talking about, and the quality of the conversation, not about who you're connected to.
I’m glad you've asked.

Because as a social media marketer, and blogger (www.1GoodReason.com) I'm very interested in what's happening with my large group of contacts online. But more specifically as a Marketer I want to know what these important influential thought leaders are complaining about online. So having a large group of my contacts readily connected the moment I joined the site was amazing.
