How do I add FAQs for my company?
I'd like to seed our Get Satisfaction section with answers to a few Frequently Asked Questions and pointers to popular topics. Things like "How do I get a new password?" etc. Is that a good idea, and where should I get started?

Inappropriate? Why yes! Here's a topic with some instructions. Please note, though, that it was based on our old interface for creating topics so a bit of the functionality has recently changed and I haven't had a chance to update it yet. Let me know if you have any questions.
I’m glad you're here

Inappropriate?Merlin: You can also send your file to me at eric [at] getsatisfaction [dot] com. Just let us know what you need, and we should be able to accomplish it.

Inappropriate? The best type of format for us is YAML. I can send you a file that is mocked up in that format to show you how that is composed. It's pretty straightforward and looks something like this:
question: |
What is the ideal format for Importing FAQs to Get Satisfaction?
answer: |
YAML is the format we import. It's very simple.
One thing to keep in mind: The value of FAQs can be hard to determine. While it's efficient to pull together your customers' most-asked questions, the downside is that you may actually be missing questions your customers might ask that you simply can't envision. That's a potential strength of conversation on Get Satisfaction: Your customers often reveal new issues or details about your product, so steering them down a path of FAQ, while helpful, might make you miss something.
But, that's mostly a philosophical debate we have in the Get Satisfaction office. So, if you're ready to pull in some FAQs, shoot me an e-mail [eric (at) getsatisfaction (dot) com] and I'll send you the dummy file that explains the YAML formatting.
