Inappropriate?Have you submitted an employee claim for your company yet? You need to do that and wait for it to be approved. Once approved, you'll be able to successfully get the code.

Inappropriate?Hi Amy - where do I submit my employee claim, Im a sole trader/website.
Thanks. -
Inappropriate? What's the name of the company?
-
Inappropriate?PaulCooklin.com, thanks Eric
-
You can claim here: http://getsatisfaction.com/paulcookli... -
Inappropriate?Hi Paul,
By way of a bit of research to help us improve this process for people, would you mind answering a couple questions for me?
Are you the one who added your company to GS? If so, in that process, did you click the "I'm an employee" button? If so, once your company was added, did you see a page that looks like this? (the orange blocks are where your company name would appear)

Did you notice the green "Request employee status" button? Or did you think that at this point you would already be listed as an employee?
Thanks!
I’m curious

Inappropriate?I dont remember Robin, sorry.
How do I received questions/feedback from people who use the widget on my site? Ive just posed a test question but have not been sent an email letting me know that 'someone' has sent a message.
Many thanks. -
Inappropriate?No worries.
Was your claim approved? Until you are listed as an employee in your community here on GS, you won't be able to get the right widget code. Without the right widget code, the topic won't get posted to the right place and won't send you an email notification. -
Inappropriate?I have the widget code installed on www.paulcooklin.com OK, all seems fine. But no notification.
Thank you. -
Inappropriate?Might want to check the URL in that code and make sure the feedback is pointing to your company section. The URL should look like this:
GSFN.feedback('http://getsatisfaction.com/paulcooklincom/feedback') -
Inappropriate?Hi Paul,
I just posted a test topic. The reason you're not receiving notifications is because you're not verified as an employee yet. When you go here http://getsatisfaction.com/paulcookli... you can see it still says "Unofficial Customer Support Community for PaulCooklin.com" at the top. Once you've submitted your employee claim and it's approved, you will receive notifications of new topics. -
Inappropriate?Paul,
Eric just accepted your employee claim. Now you should be an admin of your section and, provided you have the Feedback Widget set up properly, you should receive email notifications of new topics posted.
-
Inappropriate?OK, makes sense but how/where do I 'submit my employee claim'? I didnt seen anything on that page?
Thank you. -
You did submit it. And Eric has now approved it so you should be all set. -
Inappropriate?Ok, many thanks.
This is the code but Eric says it might not be right.
This is the code which was supplied to me: -
Inappropriate?should I swap this:
" var feedback_widget = new GSFN.feedback_widget(feedback_widget_options)" -
Inappropriate? Now that you're an admin for your community here, the best thing for you to do is go here [http://getsatisfaction.com/paulcookli...] and regenerate the code for the widget. That way you'll be sure to be getting the correct code for your organization.
-
Inappropriate?OK, I think Im all set. Thank you so much for your time. This is quite a powerfull tool. Lets see how it goes.
I’m thankful
-
Great! Enjoy!
