How do you make an announcement on a product
I need to make an announcement on our product page in getsatisfacton?
In case we have a new version out, or if we are simply adding a new product to our suite, we wuld like to make an announcement on the home page of our company "Thoughtworks Studios". Is there a suggested way of doing this?

Inappropriate?Yes, there is a way to do this. You can start a new topic. Right now, the featured topic on the company home page is the most recent topic a company representative has started. It appears like so:

In the very near future, we'll be releasing a new company home page, so this may look a little different then. A little further out, we'll be adding options to this feature, so that you'll have a little more control about how you're company announcements are set up.

Any updates on this? Is starting a new topic still the best way? I would like a prominent spot on the page for company announcements. -
Yes, starting a new topic as an Official Rep of a company is the way to do this right now. We are working on tools that will greatly refine this feature!

The short version is yes, starting a new topic is still the best way.
We're currently working on adding two new topic types, "Praise" and "Company Announcement."
I'd love to give you an exact date, but it's hard to tell. I started working on Praise during our last "Feature/Design sprint Friday," and imagine I'll be working on it again this Friday. I'll give another update at the end of the week.
