How do you plan to resolve overlaps and redundancies with existing company forums?
This would be complicated for sure, but with companies and products that always generate a lot of conversation and activity (e.g. Apple, iPhone), what about integrating other relevant sources of ideas and requests (e.g. http://pleasefixtheiphone.com )?
In general, I have had spotty luck on Get Satisfaction with companies like Boxee and Mint that have their own forums. There's a lot of duplication and redundancy in terms of what you and their existing forums provide. I understand you guys are trying to be something different (and better) than a forum-powering technology, but how do you plan to resolve these kinds of redundancies?

Inappropriate? There's no one answer to this question. Where it makes sense, we'll replace the old forums, or the company will establish clear rules around how they use a general forum vs. their support community. I wouldn't be surprised if one or more of the companies you mention fully migrates away from their legacy forums, and turns Get Sat into the official channel. In another instance we're working on the company is retaining the traditional forum for general conversation, but making it clear that they will only participate in the Get Satisfaction support space. This is something we'll continue to keep an eye on.
Thanks for the idea for integrating third-party content into Get Sat. It's something we're interested in doing more of.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I kind of remember an idea (i will look for that thread) to expand "overheard" beyond just the twittersphere - maybe those other communities for hyper-active services which Shawn mentions could find there way into there?
I did make a quick search for topics about overheard just now, but alas there is nothing about an expanded overheard...
I’m hopeful... always hopeful

Inappropriate?Yes, Rene, there was indeed some talk of applying the Overheard treatment to, for example, blog platforms. I'd definitely like that. Here's that topic: http://getsatisfaction.com/getsatisfa...
