How to register your application and get an API key
Go to your Account Settings page.
Fastest way to get there is by clicking your name on the top right of this page
Go to Extentions
Fourth link in the sidebar on the left
Click the "Register your application" link
There you go!

First, we're transitioning this info over to http://getsatisfaction.com/developers.
The majority of things on our site can be done via the API without a key, so you may not need one. If you think you will, give Scott a shout at scott [at] getsatisfaction [dot] com, and he'll either assign you a key or point you to a way to do it without one.
The reason we've turned this off? There was an OAuth breach the other day, and you can read about that here, if you're interested: http://oauth.net/advisories/2009-1

Inappropriate?I'd really like to use the SatisfactionRemoteComponent <http://code.google.com/p/satisfaction...> in my iPhone apps, but it requires application registration to work. I don't think it is vulnerable to the breach in Eric's message. Maybe the application registration page could just have a warning and a link to that breach instead of being completely disabled?
