I'd like a "Thanks" button for replies.
On Ma.gnolia we have a "Give Thanks" link on each bookmark to thank the person who originally shared the bookmark. It'd be great if you implemented something similar so that when a staff person leaves a helpful reply, I don't need to leave a message, I can just thank them. This is similar to "this is useful" but with more expression.
I think you need both "this is useful" and "give thanks" since Thanks is something given, not just a state of mind expressed in an emoticon.

Inappropriate?A while back we had talked about exposing the ability to apply emotions as if they were stickers to O.P.P. (other people's posts).
The idea didn't really go anywhere, unfortunately, but I thought it would be really cool to see a reply with all sorts of angry and happy and thankful faces applied to it.
I’m happy

Inappropriate? For the record, I'm not down with O.P.P.

Inappropriate? In essence, instead of saying thanks, you're saying "That was useful! Thanks!". Thank yous usually need to be expounded on to be meaningful. We're just cutting to the chase.
The stickers idea is still a strong one, and a great application would be from user to user in the profiles, let people know how you feel about them! ;)
O.P.P, yeah you know me.

Inappropriate?plus i'd love to be able to give companies the ability to label someone a "customer of the week." that would be awesome.

Inappropriate?Yeah, there's lots of fun ways we can apply emotions and emoticons -- including simple ways to say "thanks". Just a matter of time...
