I'd like to embed GetSatisfaction in my free iPhone app but can't (obviously) afford $289
I'd like to make an iPhone "Feedback" or "Support" widget for getsatisfaction, and maybe port it to other mobile platforms, but I've only a free app and can't afford $289/mth for a developer API. Any chance we could make this happen for less? And also--if someone is willing to put the time into customizing the CSS of their getsatisfaction page, why charge them so much to do so? Personally I think we need more such diversity-- the design/icons are kind of boring and don't scale well on mobile platforms, but even the little guys without much money still want to pay attention to such details...Web 2.0 is all about customization and open APIs "within reason".

Inappropriate?Hi there - I'm going to put you in touch with someone on our team who knows more about the ins and outs of building iPhone stuff. I know there was an app built previously, so it'd be interesting to know more about what's already been done and how.
I’m glad you asked!

Thanks, though I do know the iPhone end of things, and if I had to, I could use JavaScript injection to reformat GetSatisfaction.com pages ...
But I'm hoping to help produce an iPhone API or SDK or even "best practices" for such mobile embedding, because (a) it's kinda hard to use on a mobile device now; (b) it would be nice to replace my email feedback form with a GetSatisfaction-one; (c) I want to see other apps begin to use this on the iPad also, as a standard feedback mechanism from within an app ;-) -
Inappropriate?louis, email me at scotth (at) getsatisfaction. would love to talk to you about this next week.
