Internationalization of the Widget
Can we have the Internationalization of the Widget only for starters? I mean, the Widget has a very small set of words/sentences to be translated and since we are supposed to put it on our site it should be in the same language as the site it is used on.
I'm sure we would all be willing to provide the translations we need in any form you require XML, CSV or whatever else.
Once the users come back here to GS than its fine to have English until the Internationalization kicks in since it IS a different site...

Inappropriate? We've had a lot of requests for internationalization and it *is* something we'd like to do down the road. However, what you're suggesting is interesting and it may be possible to do something like this sooner rather than later. I'll share this with the rest of the team.

Inappropriate?Hi CoPe. We would love to internationalize the site and plan to, but unfortunately it's not on the short term road map at this point. While internationalizing just the widget does seem pretty simple on first blush, after thinking about it and discussing it further I realize it's not quite that simple because we then have to consider the user experience after the topic submission. All the replies to the posted topic will send email updates in English to the user which may create a more confusing experience for them. So it still represents a big project and when we do it we want to make sure we do it right.
We have opened up our API and have even created a template system called Help Center to make working off our API even easier. It's open source and not supported but you're welcome to check it out to see if there's anything you think you could do with it to suit your needs. We have had a user attempt a translation with Help Center. I'm not sure if this would be any help to you but you can see some info about it here.
I’m looking forward to when we have the time & resources to internationalize

Inappropriate?Sorry, CoPe. Well, please know that we all do REALLY want to do internationalization. We just want to make sure that we slot it in at a time when we can really do it right since it will touch every corner of our system.

Inappropriate?I know Amy. I'm just sad 'cause I know that this is a VERY big project and it will naturally take time... I am in the same business but on a seriously smaller scale and it takes forever for some things to get implemented :)

Inappropriate?Yeah, I understand. Well, the good news is we do have a developer chomping at the bit to get his hands on this project. Just need to find him the time. :)

Inappropriate?Sorry to see this suggestion dormant! There is need in the non-English-speaking world for fresh user feedback services like this!
I’m sad

Inappropriate? That we cannot have a local version is such a deal breaker :( It's a pity because GS is good!
I’m frustrated
