Is it possible to add a "Last Reply" link to the Topic page?
Is it possible to add a "Last Reply" link to the Topic page, i.e., the page where I'm viewing the full topic thread?
Of course I can click the "Last reply" link in the Topic list, but there are times when I arrive at a GSFN thread via other means (e.g., a link posted to Twitter).
Since the 'last reply' can actually be a comment to an earlier reply, I can't simply scroll down to the bottom of the Topic page and assume that the reply or comment at the bottom of the page was the last item to be posted.
This isn't really a big deal with short topics, but when I'm wading through a thread with 30 or more responses, it's hard to spot the latest comment/reply.

I’m certain this 'Last Reply' link is useful only for a handful of threads on GSFN, but I figure it can't hurt to ask.

Inappropriate?Another approach could be to shoe me replies since I last visited the page. Maybe highlight the replies with some bright color or show a New Reply flag next to the latest ones.

Inappropriate?Oh yes, indeed! I would very much prefer the highlighting approach.
I know realistically it'll take a while to get that done, though, so I mentioned the Last Reply link as a potential "quick and dirty" add-on that might help in the meantime, and which can be easily removed later once personalization features have been added.

Touche! And btw, we already have personalization features built into these pages--this would be an additional feature built on the personalization platform that exists. But you're right, it's not currently on the roadmap. Stay tuned for more info. -
