New business model? How much risk should I take?
I have tried to purchase a fire pit from Portafire, however, they insist that the price of the item and shipping need to be paid up front before they will deliver the product. They do not accept PayPal or credit cards. I have suggested COD (which adds some cost) or partial payment with the remainder to be paid once the product arrives (which is shared risk) but don't seem to get this vendor to budge. I tend to trust people, however, I'm reticent to take on all the risk and this vendor is no longer responding to my emails. Can anyone help me?

Inappropriate?Hello. We are Get Satisfaction. A lot of companies use our site to connect with customers and help resolve customer-service issues. Is there a particular company or service you're trying to contact?

Inappropriate?Eric... Thanks for taking a look at my posting so quickly. The company is Portafire. Howard Oliver is the proprietor and can (theoretically) be contacted at the following: 303-972-1758 or h.c.oliver@portafire.net.
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate? Our site doesn't seem to have a section for Portafire, but you are always welcome to add it.

Inappropriate?Eric... I do not see the ability to create a new section. Would that be the same as creating a new Community, Topic, or something else all together? Thanks for your assistance.
I’m a little confused
