Package Costs and Options
While we would really like to have the ability to completely customize the Get Satisfaction pages to match our website, being a small company there is no way we can afford or justify the $899/mo cost for that package.
While I understand you have a free version, and cheaper packages (We are currently on the $99 package), we could code this ourselves and not pay anything, but then we take away development time on our application.
Maybe some sort of 'Pay Per Feature' option would be good, or a 'Host Our Own' where you pay a single up front cost and pay for a support/upgrades package (IE 1 year of access to this page for $xx.xx). We may still look at building our own in the future to avoid the high monthly cost of GS, but right now, development on our application is much more important.
I think both options would open GS up for a major influx of small business' who want customization, but can't afford it, as well as preventing companies from using GS only until they build their own option (Which loses you more in the long run.)

Inappropriate?Hi Kray,
We're in the process of reconsidering our plans and pricing options so this is a great time to bring this to our attention. Many others, like you, would like to be able to purchase features on an a la carte basis. And your "Host Our Own" idea is really creative. I'll be sure to bring this to the attention of the team in charge of making the pricing decisions. Thanks again for your feedback.

Inappropriate? Thanks Wendy! I AMA huge fan of the service thus far, and it looks like it's only going to get better.

Inappropriate? Thanks, Kray. You will probably notice some pricing and package shifts in the near future. We probably won't be able to get the a la carte options in right away. But I want you to know that we are seriously considering this even if we can't implement that short term. :)
Also, since we're talking about pricing, I'm curious to know how much you would expect a la carte features to be - and how much you would expect a "Host your own" service to be. If you don't feel comfortable answering this, I completely understand. I'm just trying to learn as much as I can about customer's expectations around pricing - even though it's a little bit of a sensitive subject.
Thanks again for helping us to improve our service with your ideas and feedback.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I think the a-la-carte options would really depend on the feature itself. I could see them being anywhere from $5-$50/mo though.
For Host your own, this would be a hard one to judge, as I have seen host your own options for some great software ranging from $99-$5000. For what GetSatisfaction offers though, I could easily see it being in the $1000-$2000 range with no support/basic support options, with the ability to add some kind of 'Premium Support' package.
One of the greatest things I like so far is your support. it's timely and informative, and I believe that a premium package would be worth the additional cost for the first 6mo-1yr for a Host Your Own scenario. While it would be great if we could all offer everything for free with premium support, it's just impossible to do!
I don't care what else you have going on, I want this all implemented by Tuesday ;o) JK! Thanks again for a great system, and most of all listening to your customers, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
I’m excited
