I posted to a topic, and the post shows up in my profile, but not in the topic.

Inappropriate?Looks like it was just a caching hiccup. It's there now.

We use a two pronged cache expiration policy for the discussion area of the page. It expires when someone take a new action on the topic, or if 24 hours passes.
That area of the page is particularly heavy on the servers to produce (unfortunately) so we are a little heavy handed with caching it. Sorry about the confusion. As we get more efficient and our code gets better, these sorts of issues should be non-existent.1 Comment

This solves the problem

Whoops, forgot to mention the most important part. Sometimes, the action-based expiration screws up and doesnt reach memcache.
