Provide facility to nudge employees.
Currently, I have an outstanding question to the twitter folks to request some modifications to Twitter. The twitter group shows that there are at least 3 employees monitoring the site.
I am sure the Twitter guys are busy rolling stuff out but I guess as part of the Satisfaction experience, I would like to be able to "nudge" an employee for some sort of acknowledgement.
I would not necessarily advocate setting this up to be automatic unless the employee chooses to be reminded accordingly. I would also restrict the capability to the thread starter so that there is not a chorus of "me toos" at least for now.

Inappropriate? You're right on the money, jauderho. We'll actually be deploying a refined notification system soon where employees can elect to be notified every time a new topic is posted.

Inappropriate?I like that suggestion as a user. Coming from an employee perspective, maybe not so much. Perhaps we'd allow only one or two nudges, or spaced out nudges so as not to flood their inbox.
We'll put this on our list of good ideas and maybe it'll show up one day!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Cool. I'll look forward to seeing the new system in play.

Inappropriate?I'll put in my 2 cents as requested by Amy (http://getsatisfaction.com/plurk/topi...) after recently bumping (nudging?) a whole slew of unanswered threads. Mind you, half of them were a month old, and the other half 2 months old. Perhaps you'd want to restrict nudges to a similar age, and only 1 per thread? I think it's perfectly valid for the thread creator to give the nudge, but I've personally been criticized for it, so that's something that you might want to poll users about. Thanks for the invite Amy :)
I’m thankful to be asked to contribute.

Inappropriate? Thanks for chiming in here, Greg. I think we're thinking of the nudge feature as being more of a direct message to the listed employees of the company. So it's not that it would necessarily mirror a bumping mechanism but would hopefully be a more direct way of saying "Hey, employee! Pay attention!"
Thoughts?
I’m happy for the feedback

Inappropriate? The direct msg approach sounds like a good feature. There must be some (lots?) of company reps who would respond positively to such a reminder and address the overlooked thread. I'm not naive enough to think that it'd be a 100% solution though. After all, if every company responded as they should to customer feedback, would this site even be necessary? Sometimes the 'public embarrassment' approach is the only way to influence them to respect users. So I think we should still have some kind of public nudge mechanism.

I can see your point there. :) I'll be sure to bring it up with the team.
