sign in catch 22

trying to report a problem! but your problem reporter won't let me. can't sign in with previous account, first it tells me my password is wrong, then i try for a new one and it tells me my email address ist taken, well, duh, i'm the one who took it! how do i get signed in? to even post this i'm forced to make a whole new account.
