Inappropriate? It is a way for companies to tie in existing database records of their customers so that their customers don't have to sign in to Get Satisfaction. They can use an existing account. So, it's for both, but it relies on existing accounts.
-
my doubt is: what a customer will do? can he post a topic or can he give reply? -
Inappropriate?Yes, a customer who has signed in via Single Sign On can do everything any other customer can do. It just means they can sign in with their log-in information from the company they're a customer of rather than having to create a separate Get Satisfaction user account.
-
suppose one user is coming through single sign on & he is posting a reply. because he dont have his username, how you will show 'replied by' person? -
It will show their user name from the other site, however they will have an opportunity to change it for their Get Satisfaction presence. -
those user will come under Contacts search? because they dont have their permanent account -
Inappropriate?brain, perhaps this will explain it better: http://getsatisfaction.com/developers...

I have one doubt. suppose one user is coming through single sign on. he is giving reply to some topic. then he is returning back to his company site.
My doubt is are you saving the user details afterwards? because if he has posted a reply, you have to show the replied person name every time.
Please I am very much confused -
Inappropriate? When the person comes through SSO, an account is automatically created for them. Their reply will be associated with that account. They will have an opportunity to change the user name of that account should they want to.
-
thanks Muller, but one question it might possible that the person who is coming through the SSO, he may have a GS account previously.
that means one person can have 2 accounts with different username & 2 dashboards also. -
Inappropriate? As I understand it, if they already have a current GS account, they can elect to sign in with that account. Then their identity from the other company will forever be associated with their GS identity.
