Submitted Comment Response to 'Customer'

I use this support site for a church website and have been made aware that when someone submits a comment they are thanked as a customer.
Given we are not offering any sort of product, it would be great to be able to call them something else.

I have currently asked the site to reconise us as an organisation rather than a company, but this does not seem to have changed the response.

Is there any way to achieve this, or can this be an added feature.
