Text-only version of GSFN e-mails suck: "this solved the problem" should not be the first link

person has this problem
I have this problem, too!
Tell me when someone solves it.
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

The company thinks this is not a problem.

Inappropriate? Thanks, Thomas, for your considered opinion. I think the first choice is "Go look at this reply." Incidentally, there are some different based on different topic types, but I guess that doesn't speak to their level of suckiness.
I'll take a look at those emails and see if they should be rearranged in some way. What order do you think would be more appropriate?
-
It is quite considered, go into Mail.app and click View, Message, Plain Text Alternative. -
Inappropriate?Well, just swap 1 and 2 in this. Also, the second option (to reply to your post) actually opens the 'leave a comment' box, but that is fine with me.
-
Inappropriate?I'm not so sure I agree. The text-only version mirrors the HTML version, I think. I get both versions of these, and I think I prefer that they be consistent, but I'll let others weigh in with their own opinions.

Some threads don't have a 'solves the problem' option so some e-mails only have two options, if someone is used to clicking the first option for those and then has to read and click the second option for the others, there is an inconsistency. Likewise, someone may get used to clicking the second option and would accidentally 'stop following' threads. Do you really read the "post comment" or "post reply" button or just happen to know the location? Most people just know the location. -
Most people? I'd love to see some user research showing that people remember the locations of things rather than reading when they use email. http://twitter.com/defunkt/statuses/8... -
Most people in the Wikipedia sense, where I mean me and everyone else who agrees with me. -
I've got some user research: a reddit comment showing many people agree (voted up on) that "muscle memory is better than adaptive UI": http://www.reddit.com/r/reddit.com/co...
