Twitter url not showing in my user control panel even though it exists in user profile!

Inappropriate?For right now, the twitter field is only used as a convenience for filling in the username field from the "twitter this" button on each topic page and the contact import system.
It will probably make it into the user profile page when we do a redesign of the profile.
As it is right now, the twitter field on your account page gets saved automatically when you use a twitter related function of the site. As such, you never really tell the system that it is alright to display your twitter username to the public. That is one of the reasons we can't just turn it on. -
