Various errors in GetSatisfaction.com
Hi.
Couple of problems I noticed while trying to sign up.
1) When searching for a non-existent company in the top menu bar (under the "/companies" URL), I cannot click the "add this company to GS" link. The little dropdown simply disappears (using FF 2.0).
2) After eventually finding a link to add a company which worked (under the Companies link I think), I signed up to create a new account, and was taken to a page which said something about upgrading companies, except I had 0 companies to upgrade. There were no other links to do anything...
3) After getting into my profile via the Account link in the top right, and navigating to the Products And Companies sub-tab, I was again informed I had no companies, but there was STILL no link to add one...
4) Finally, I found a page which worked as I expected (ie, with useful content and clickable links), and started to add the company. However, at this point, I was interested more in the pricing of your services, a comparison between pricing models, and a more in depth explanation of the company verification procedure (since there's a note at the bottom of the form which suggests it takes 2 days). However, I can find no decent information on pricing structures, or comparisons, or company verification.
5) Just spotted another problem in Chrome. Without logging in, visit "/companies/new". Enter a company name and then click the "Create" button at the bottom, and the dialog box appears. Close the box (by clicking off it), then try and scroll up - the page always scrolls back down to the bottom.
6) Trying to find products (when creating a "Report A Problem" entry). Searching for "Get Satisfaction" returns nothing, yet searching for "a" returns an item called "Get Satisfaction". Strange.

Inappropriate?7) I just got an email with my randomly generated password. What happened to the one I chose when I signed up?!
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Hey Willb,
Thanks for taking the time to bring all this stuff up. This is seriously fantastic.
Let me see if I can help.

I broke this while fixing another bug yesterday. I found the problem and the fix will go out on the site by tomorrow.

I'm not exactly sure which page you're talking about here. Did you sign up from the "Add your Company" page? Or were you taken to another page to sign up?
3) After getting into my profile via the Account link in the top right, and navigating to the Products And Companies sub-tab, I was again informed I had no companies, but there was STILL no link to add one...
This one is a little confusing. Your Products and Companies Page is a list of products and companies you use on Get Satisfaction. Not companies you necessarily work for

We're going to be making some significant changes to this process. Thanks for the feedback!

We'll look into this issue. I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is.
6) Trying to find products (when creating a "Report A Problem" entry). Searching for "Get Satisfaction" returns nothing, yet searching for "a" returns an item called "Get Satisfaction". Strange.
The product search is actually filtering through a set of products in the company. So it's not actually searching. We're going to make this work like the product and company search in the header.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?#5 has been fixed and will go out in the next deploy (Tomorrow)

Inappropriate?2) Can't remember, sorry.
3) Right. Maybe worth sticking a link in there anyway?
All the rest: Nice one. :)
