Visual cues for "This is a good point" links?
When I click "This is a good point," or "This answers the question," there is no visual cue. So, when I click it again because I think it didn't work, I get a javascript error talking about there being a problem "promoting" that item.
Seems like (a) there should be some sort of visual cue, and (b) a site doing so many things right shouldn't resort to a javascript popup (IMHO).

I have this problem, too!
Tell me when someone solves it.

Inappropriate?Hmm, for some reason, the first two pages I visited didn't work. Then I filed this. Then the next page I visited had a lovely AJAX change from a link to "You find this helpful..." or whatever it says. :)
So feel free to delete, but perhaps take note that there might be some bugginess.

Inappropriate? Thanks for the head's up. We'll investigate the bugginess.
I’m glad the AJAX is working for you now
-
Inappropriate?I'm on it. This is one of the very last remaining issues (that I know about, at least) on this shiny new topic page. Thanks for the feedback!
I’m confident I can fix it right up

Thanks, Cam! -
Inappropriate? When I view this page, I do not see the 'mark as useful' (or whatever it's called today) links, nor the count of how many have marked it so.
-
Inappropriate?Guy, that is correct. When you are viewing a Discussion topic (the green kind), there are no tools for promoting replies to the top position.
-
Inappropriate?Well, isn't that just useful?
As long as you're tearing out and discarding useful features, you need to remove the 'Mark it as useful' links from the dashboard. My dashboard shows I marked a reply as useful twice, whereas in fact you no longer display this information on the original post.
I will be sure not to use "discussion" in the future when starting topics, as it's utility has been diminished.

Sorry to disappoint. Also, "you need to remove the 'Mark it as useful' links from the dashboard" will be going out with our next deploy.
