Where is customization documentation?
Where can I see the list of customization that I can do to GS look and feel if my company signs up for Manage plan? In particular, I'd like to be able to remove the dark Navigation bar on top, since it heavily collides with our website UI. How expensive of a plan do I need to buy to get this customization?

Hi, matt. That level of customization is part of our Customize plan: http://getsatisfaction.com/features
Sorry if that isn't clear. We can do better about providing examples.

Inappropriate? Thanks for reply. What exactly can I customize as part of Manage plan. It says I can customize colors. Can I make that dark top bar a different color?
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?Lite customization changes the colors of the links, background, background image. Here's an example of someone doing that: http://yola.com.
You should see those options in your admin section under the Customization area. However, the top strip is standard across Get Satisfaction. -
Eric, it is evident from your reply
"You should see those options in your admin section under the Customization area."
that you did not properly read/understand Matt's initial question. He wrote:
"Where can I see the [available] customization ... IF MY COMPANY SIGNS UP FOR MANAGE PLAN?" (emphasis mine).
If you're providing additional features that you charge for, you need to provide adequate documentation on what customers will get with that feature before they commit to paying for it. -
I believe I said that we could do a better job of providing examples. So, I don't think I disagree with you about that. I'll be sure to share your feedback with the product team. -
Speaking of feedback to the product team :) I wanted to comment about the plan pricing structure. While Manage plan sounds like a good ROI, pricing skyrockets unreasonably from that point on.
Integrate plan costs 3 times as much, but really just gives you a single sign on. Well, it also gives you "Commercial API access", but there is zero information on how it is different from free API.
Customize plan, is 9 times more expensive! While it just gives you a CSS customizations, that your competitors give at the sub $100 level. Seems very steep.
As a head of engineering, I love the idea of GS, and fresh look and feel and implementation. However, with such pricing structure, I am having really hard time convincing my marketing / business counterparts that GS is a good long term investment, that will grow together with our business.
Hope this feedback is useful! -
Inappropriate? Thanks! I am trying to evaluate what kind of customization is available before paying for Managed plan, so I do not have anything available in customization admin area.
I’m disappointed
