Getsatisfaction updated the design? why the hell did they move products to the bottom?
I have this question, too!
Tell me when someone answers.
The more people who ask this question, the more it gets noticed.

Inappropriate?Hey @thijsjacobs
Leslie can probably speak to this a little better than myself, but I'll tell you why I like it better this way.
Having the top 5 products at the top was useful for companies that make multiple products or provide multiple services. For those companies that only have one product, or are themselves a service it was just taking up a lot of space. Moving it to the sidebar provides more flexibility taking up only the space it needs (85px/product)
Anyway, If you have any other thoughts on this I'd love to hear them.
Cheers,
-Ted

Inappropriate?Hi @thijsjacobs!
Ted's nailed one of the main reasons for downplaying the products. The page is now more flexible to accommodate the different kinds of companies that use Get Satisfaction. The page is also now more focused on starting a topic, and digging into the list of current topics.
This new page design is also foreshadowing some bigger changes coming down the line. Currently Get Satisfaction pivots around companies, which works fine for medium sized companies with a few products. For single product companies (like Twitter) or large merchants with hundreds or thousands of products (like Walmart) this format is limiting. If I have a problem with a Swiffer I bought at Walmart do I talk to Walmart or P&G? Well hopefully I can talk to them both!
To do that we need to make the main pivot point the products. You may have also noticed that products have a new home page now too, for example our API: http://getsatisfaction.com/satisfacti...
We're going to be working on this challenge for a while, and this new page is one of the first steps. Thanks for bring this up!
I’m excited

Inappropriate? Thanks guys for the reply; my remark may be more linked to the general design. If company "HelloHello.com" provides "ByeBye.com", then it may become more tough to visually navigate to "ByeBye.com", especially if I never heard of "HelloHello.com". Also, the homepage is currently geared towards companies (Search box and featured section). But it sounds like you're well aware of this and are working towards a solution.
