Inappropriate?Looks like I misspelled 'your'. Anyway, it seems the answer to my own question is that the previous attempts must have been during site down time.
Could someone correct me; or let me know if there is a way to learn if submissions are blocked for various reasons?
Is getsatisfaction planning on letting users know when postings are unlikely to succeed?
I’m getting satisfied that I was able to post my main issue re USAA, and able to post this re getsat.

Inappropriate?Sorry if you're experiencing problems. We don't block folks from submitting, so I am unsure what might have happened. Did you receive any error messages when this happened that you remember, by any chance? Was this while submitting a new topic from the create a new topic page?1 Comment

yes it was while submitting a new topic. I don't recall what happened, except essentially nothing. There was not any warning that there might be delay, or I did not see an error message. In any event, today's effort was quite successful and smooth, with guidance from the site, unlike last time.
this is why I thought the site was down (or perhaps my connection?)
Now, hopefully I can present my case to your users from usaa, before it is too late.
