You can flag topic posts and replies that you feel need to be reviewed
We're all about open conversation here at Get Satisfaction so we're not going to delete a post or reply just because someone says something negative. However, there are a few instances where we will remove a post or reply:
- SPAM
- Inappropriate
- Abuse
- Crass commercialism
If you see a post that you think falls into one of these categories, click the "Inappropriate" link, select the category it falls under and add a little explanation to give us some further insight into why you think it needs to be removed. We'll review our Flagged items page and will remove items within a few days as we find necessary.
If you notice something that needs immediate attention, flag it and email us at support [at] getsatisfaction [dot] com with a link to the post.

Inappropriate? How do I unflag an item? I was playing around and I thought I clicked 'cancel' but the topic is still flagged.
I’m worried that topic is going to be investigated by the Satisfaction Flag Police
-
Inappropriate? The ability to undo a flag is in the pipe. You can't currently. I'm not sure about the Timeline, it may be about a month away on the priority list.
-
Inappropriate? And trust me, Ed. I'm pushing for it. Because I have to manage flagged items and I can tell that a lot of time items are flagged accidentally. :)
You can let me know the topic name that you flagged and I'll be sure to dismiss it. And we have a very specific policy around deletion so we won't just delete something because it's been flagged unless we agree with the flag.
I’m the Satisfaction Flag Police

Inappropriate? An update for everyone participating in this topic and all those who are curious about dealing with spam, inappropriate content, etc -- We launched our first version of premium services which include a fantastic new Management View and some really useful topic moderation tools. See all the features here!

Inappropriate?Oh I would love to buy the premium packege if only we werent a startup without any money at all at this point. Question: If someone is posting inappropriate things in German, how do you decide whether the flag is correct?
I’m puzzeled
-
Inappropriate?Well, HCL, that is a good question. In some instances, I'll confer with good old Babelfish, the online site for translating text, but that admittedly only goes so far. It's a judgment call in some cases. And, let's be honest, any kind of community management like this is going to be subjective and have a lot to do with context, the expectations of the community, etc. Fortunately, though, we have a German-speaking developer on hand in our office, Bernd. He's good.

Inappropriate? Also, HCL, if an employee flags something but we're unsure about the flag we'll often email that employee for more clarification.
