The way it works is as follows:
You assign a GSO project to a project in BC, also providing the message category and people to notify.
When a new design is uploaded, a message is sent to basecamp.
When a comment is posted on this design, new version upload, or the design signed off, a comment is posted to this message.
Hope that answers your question. If you have any suggestions on how we could further integrate, we'd love to hear them.

Inappropriate?Basically you can link an individual project in GetSignOff to one in basecamp. Whenever a comment is made in GetSignoff that comment is sent to basecamp in the same way it notifies you via email.
You can also define in GetSignOff who basecamp notifies of these updates.

Inappropriate?I'm still a bit confused as to the Basecamp integration. What does the GetSignOff project to Basecamp project link actually entail? Are there any messages posted to Basecamp? Are the comments saved in Basecamp? If so, how are they divided? Per project? Per design?
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?Thank you for the info, Dave. One last question (I promise).
When you say that a comment is posted to the message. Is it the actual comment that someone leaves? Or is it a generic "A new comment has been posted to GSO" (or something similar)?
I’m undecided

Inappropriate? It's the actual comment, and who posted it :-)
