I was unable to sign in to REI.com until I disabled Ghostery blocking.

Inappropriate?Talk to REI about privacy issues and this tactic they insist on. Meanwhile, you can always tell them you'll have to do business elsewhere OR do business on the telephone, like with a person they have to pay for. Companies want to have everyone go on-line because it cost them less and increases sales because of the "convenience" (they say it for our convenience of course). Well, if it is going to track me when I don't want to be tracked, I phone or go to a different company.

First I apologize that you ran into this issue, it's the first time we've encountered anything like this.
I spent some time debugging this and figured out that REI.com is tying their login form (only this one from what I can find) into the CoreMetrics tracker so that if you enable blocking of it logging-in is not possible.
The simplest solution is to temporarily disable blocking in order to login and then re-enable blocking. I want as far as making a video of how to do this.
