I'm unable to get SUZU working. I'm able to set the wakeup time. I leave the iPhone connected to my charger and I leave the application running with the screen placed down. I've yet to see it working at 5AM. I've woken up prior to SUZU being scheduled to go off, but it doesn't go off. If I perform a test by scheduling SUZU to go off in 10 minutes, it works, but not when I want when I schedule it for 5AM. I do have autolock set for 1 minute and a passcode lock.

Inappropriate?I've just noticed that the 1.2 update is available and will check it out.
-
Inappropriate?Let me know how 1.2 works for you.
When this happens has the auto lock come on? Is there a pop window or any other indication that something else is happening except the application running?
If so this is probably the problem. The Iphone is not running the application any longer when the auto lock is activated.
I can take a look but I don't think there is a way around this as currently the Iphone doesn't allow the application to run under these conditions.
Can you try disabling auto lock for one night and see if that helps?
Thanks.

Inappropriate?I'm having a very similar problem ~ however, Suzu worked for me the first days I used it. It stopped working two days ago (phone is always plugged, application is left running). I tested it out by setting the alarm for a minute to two minutes later. Out of my test runs, it's only worked once...oh, forgive me, *now* it's twice (and it went off one minute later than I set it).
Also ~ now it only seems to work if I have my sound on! I used to be able to mute my phone, so that I wouldn't be disturbed by calls or text.
Help help help!

Inappropriate?Sorry about this. We are working on fixing this. I am assuming that 2 days ago you you upgraded your phone to Iphone OS 2.2. Apple changed some things and we are scrambling to find our way around it.
Thanks for you patience, I should have an update submitted to apple later by tomorrow.

Inappropriate?Ohhhh!!! That's what it is! I totally forgot about that update, too. Thanks ~ I'm looking forward to Suzu working like normal again!
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Okay. I believe I have fixed this and uploaded it to the apple store. Version 1.5 should fix the issue. Let me know if you still have any issues.

Inappropriate?I'm sorry ~ where is this update? The application store is saying that all my apps are up to date.
I’m eugh...

Inappropriate?Apple hasn't released the new version yet. Should be soon though. We are currently at version 1.4 a and waiting for 1.5 to fix the issue. Sorry for the wait.

Inappropriate?I have version 1.5 (updated it yesterday). I had an alarm set for 6:20am. The iphone is in it's charger, the app is running with the clock and alarm displayed. The alarm never sounded until I removed the iphone from the charger - then it kicked in. Not too good.

Inappropriate?Hey sorry about this. The OS changes are little vague and I am going to try and reproduce this. Something is different in your setup than in mine. Can you tell me a few more things.
1) Iphone or Ipod?
2) Is the phone Auto-Locking?
3) Is the ringer switch on or off?
BTW: Now that you can turn the phone over and disable the screen the battery should last through the night. I'll do an experiment to confirm but this may be an option until I figure out this Charger issue.
Don't give up on SUZU. We use it every night and we should be able to get it to work for you as well.

Inappropriate?1) iPhone 3g with the 2.2 update
2) I have auto locking enabled, but I left the app running with it's clock displayed all night.
3) The ringer switch is on - allowing sounds.
The iPhone was plugged in all night. -
Inappropriate?Okay thanks. I wasn't able to reproduce the issue with a 2G phone. I am testing with a 3G tonight. There have been some reports on the developer forum that deleting and re downloading the app can help these issue. If you are willing to try that it would be great.
It might turn out to be an Apple bug. We will know more tomorrow.
Thanks in advance for you patience.

Inappropriate?Okay we were lucky to reproduce this today. It appears that there is a bug in the Iphone OS. We were able to fix the problem by deleting the application and re-downloading it. Please give this a try.
I was unable to reproduce it with a fresh install on either the 2G or 3G phones. So I think it is only effecting a few people.

Inappropriate?Still not working.
Yesterday morning it worked. Everything was the same as before, except this time I placed the iPhone face down on the nightstand - so that the display was blank. The alarm went off as expected.
After seeing your note last evening, I uninstalled and reinstalled the application. I set the alarm as before, only this time, I left the display on and plugged in so that the application was visible the entire night. This morning - NO ALARM ! Perhaps you have a bug depending upon whether the application is visible or the screen is blanked?
This is really frustrating - can an alarm program really be this difficult to make reliable?

Inappropriate?DanN I can definitely feel your frustration. It is frustrating for me as well. I am going to continue to try and reproduce your issues.
I totally agree with you that an alarm should be easy to make , the Iphone OS limits the applications access to certain features so that the phone itself will remain more stable. There is no documentation that indicates that the sounds should behave any differently based on screens being on or off, or being plugged in or not. So either there is something wrong on Apples side or there is something else going on.
I do have some ideas and am going to continue to try to find a solution to your issues. If you want to contact me directly you can email dave@gidigo.com.
I can imagine that having an alarm that doesn't feel reliable is particularly stressful, I really appreciate your willingness to keep working through this.
I’m thankful
