Webtop community
Wouldn't it be cool if you could set your online status for other users of goeveryware to see, sort of like your chat status. Then have interaction possibilities with other people who are online. What if you could chat with someone while at the same time sharing a window that you have open for them to view. They could accept it or reject it. The user could have complete control over who can contact them and who they can receive from. They could have a list of trusted friends. If they get stuck while doing something they could share their screen with a support person who could help them trouble shoot their problems.
The web top could take on more of a community effort with people sharing ideas, applications, and experiences. It would be similar to the desktop feel but with the ability to share.
What if there was community button in which a new sort of application would open in which you could view connections to you and your connections to others in a sort of 3d cloud and connect with others. Forums, message boards, and news could all be located there. People could help each other there and share what they have in common.
Just some ideas I had while using the services. Some of this maybe a little stretched out but it would still be interesting to see how online computing diverges from desktop computing as I feel they are different and should follow the same path. It would be impossible to fight desktop computing when you need desktop computing to run.

Inappropriate?Enhancement #239
Are you imagining that these status' and applications, and message boards could be added to your destop - customizable?
When you open your webtop - would you see this when you logged in?
There is a lot in this feedback idea and we will add to our discussions - thanks -
Inappropriate?I was initially imagining that the status and applications could be sort of like processes running in the start bar near the time or maybe at the top near the help desk. If you clicked them or maybe navigated to some sort of manager it would open a more detailed application. I felt that the community view would be more like a separate application it wouldn't be running all the time but you could open it similar to how you open Instant Messenger it would have an icon on the desktop or start menu.
As for seeing this when you first login I personally don't like that idea. I hate it when applications open them selves up slowing down the initial login process and cumbering what I really wanted to do when I logged in. However my wife likes it when instant messenger pops up when she first boots up so it would probably be a configurable option. From my perspective the default should be off but I am biased ;)
I’m excited
