Why am I being forced to sign up for something I don't want?
Is there any way to get rid of Meebo? The single messaging signon is an interesting concept but NOT if I have to sign up for something I don't want. I don't want an account on Meebo, or for that matter, I don't want to be forced to sign up on any additional sites that I don't specifically want. This is not how to run a web cloud. The more accounts I have to sign up for the greater the chance of my credentials/information being accessed by people that I don't trust.

As long as this type of behavior continues, then goEverywhere will continue to be useless to me. Yes, I'm a control freak, and this doesn't even come close to giving me control over the space that should be mine.

Inappropriate?We have done a lot of work in the past week to allow you to delete and add icons from your workspace. Can you just delete the im/Meebo icon and add the im tool of your choice?

Inappropriate?You tell me where the Windows Live Messenger is located in there and I'll try to add one. I apologize if I may seem ignorant but it isn't obvious. -
Inappropriate?you can right click on the workspace then select add an icon from there you can add any web application you like. So in your case just put the url for the online im tool of your choice.

If you have a YIM account you don't need to sign up.
We added some Icons to get folks started some people like them some don't.
Note: you can now add and delete any URL/ICON you want except those that are used to manage the webtop like Safe and Open places. -
Inappropriate?I did see that interface, the problem is that I don't use Yahoo, I use Windows Live Messenger. The do have a web link but it doesn't work too well in the goEverywhere space.

Inappropriate?You can close this issue if you wish. I can delete the Meebo icons, however, the Windows Web Messenger doesn't work in goEverywhere. If you want to keep this one alive then I would suggest opening a new topic, unless you want me to, to support the Windows Web Messenger.
