I was wondering when there will be Push gmail onto the iPhone/iPod Touch. Yahoo Mail supports it, and I was wondering why my favorite email had not gotten around to it yet. An alternative would be a gmail app (Free, of course) that would essentially replace the built in one. I understand that this may not be your problem, rather Apple's, but I just wanted to know if any progress has been made.
Google Voice is something that I would love to use specialy since I have several different phones to keep track of. I would be very grateful if someone could send me a Google Voice invite. My email is zandialex@gmail.com. Thanks tons!
I use Gmail alot and love it. It's normally really responsive and zippy.
However over the last few months it's now really slowed down and frequently displays a "Still Working" message.
This is incredibly frustrating and effectively delays my access to my email. There appear to be lots of other people that have this problem too. http://twitter.com/timeline/home#search?q=gmail+slow
Emails of information for non-related clients are clumped together because they come from the same source, making it easy to miss new, important info emails and impossible to dump all the duds without also deleting the few important ones. If conversation grouping can't be turned off and on by the user or eliminated, I have to dump Gmail, as have many others I saw on another website who also bitterly complained about this threading feature (bug?)
It's and odd one. I go to the chrome download site (http://www.google.com/chrome), download the file (ChromeSetup.exe - 475KB) after accepting the license agreement, double click on the downloaded file and... absolutely nothing happens. There is no folder left, no logs, nothing in system logs... zero, zilch f**k all really.
Any ideas?! I'll be more then happy to supply any info needed. Just tell me what's wrong and how to resolve it.
In google groups there is a section for files... and it's great, sorta.
A lot of the files are appended with a 2 or a 3 and then they don't open properly... they just open like a text file.
It would be ideal if they just opened in Google Docs (and some people could download them if they prefered). I prefer using google docs for shared .doc files.
I have a hard time understanding the logic used by Google when they decided to give GMail users >7G of email space, and Picasa Web users only 1G.
My calculations show that the average size of email ~30K, and the average size of photo ~3M. - Size may vary depending on usage. - Currently, I'm using 5% of my space on GMail, and 30% on Picasa web (just removed a bunch of stuff).
I think it's silly to see so much space gone to waste. Why not combine the storage for GMail, Picasa, GDocs, and even GDrive/platypus (if you ever release it) into a single storage group? Start off with x "unified storage space" and then offer upgrades, like you currently do for Picasa that way you don't lose that avenue for revenue.
In the past 2 months of using Google Calendar I have had this problem happen twice. My entire months worth of events have been automatically deleted. I have been relying on Google Calendar for work meetings and such and missed an important one because of this error. Is there any reason that this is happening and how can I prevent it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

So I've been using the share function of google reader as a mental index to keep track of things of note, sometimes going back to them and reading through, or referencing them. I realize I should probably be pulling pertinant information into a notebook or something, but there's just so much of it and I really don't know what will be useful until i remember that i read about "whatever" sometime in google reader.
I'd like a searchable index, possibly title lists of the posts i've shared. This would be an awesome mental notebook feature, and most likely not super hard to implement.
Allow to define when posts expire in a feed : I follow RSS feeds for jobs, if I don't read them for two months I don't want to see their number increase as hell.
GMail should be able to fetch mail via IMAP just like it will for POP. This will allow me to get my school's mail in GMail. I know I could enable forwarding and I've tried that, but my school's mail server frequently gets blacklisted because of junk mail that gets forwarded along with legitimate mail. This results in me getting my emails DAYS after I would have otherwise received them.
In main inbox view clicking on the label near the subject could filter my entire inbox showing only the emails with that filter (just the same that we do while clicking on a category for a blog post)
