Google calendar doesn't send email reminders for some of my events any more

Google calendar doesn't send email reminders for some of my events any more.

It used to work just fine. A couple of days ago I switched on email reminders for my other calendars and edited these events. But I doubled checked that they still have the email reminder option set up correctly. The reminder option of this calendar is also set up correctly.
I am getting email reminders for other events in this calendar.

This is worse than it might sound because now I lost confidence in Google calendar and will stop using it if this persists because these reminders are too important.

No they are not in my spam filter and they are not catched by a mail filter.

Create a "Add to Google Calendar" button for iCal feed

I run a website where we make listings for upcoming shows available in a variety of different ways. We are currently developing an applet that allows a user to create a custom feed. For example, if I would like to subscribe to a listing of shows in my neighborhood, I would use this button to create that feed for me. I can subscribe to it as an RSS feed, or as an iCalendar.

We created the iCalendar option because there was demand for it from some of our users. However, most of our users are not going to understand how to subscribe to an iCalendar. I would like to create a "Add to Google Calendar" button that makes this process easy for anyone who uses Google Calendar. We have too many possible combinations of options for us to go to Google and make these calendars publicly available.

Social Networking Through Google's Contacts

Replace all social networking with Google's contacts. Let users put whatever they wish in some profile like we can now with our picture in the google contacts. Assign views to everyone, select people, or groups. Through the user's contact profile you can see docs they have made public or shared with you, calendar's they have made public or shared with you, reader items shared and even mail shared.

No more facebook, plaxo, etc. Just google, sweet and simple :)

I finally discovered gCal Public Calenders!

Fun! I just discovered the events that you can add to your calendar. I don't know how to link to the section, but if you type in "Holidays" in the search on Gcal you end up on a page that also displays a list of things that you can add to your calender, including TVshows, Events and more. If anyone knows how to link to that section by all means share!

Is there any way to enable public editing of a public Google calendar?

So I succeeded in making my Google calendar public and shared it with my group on Facebook. I want to allow anyone on my Facebook group to edit the Calendar without having to go through the steps of giving them admin privileges.

Is it possible to allow anyone to edit my public Google calendar? If so, how? If not, does a free public calendar application exist out there that allows free for all editing?

Thanks in advance!

Wrong language used for "What's new" section

I've set English (US) as a preferred language for my Google Calendar, however when I click on "What's new" (upper right corner) it shows me text in Polish (which is my native language and it's also default language set on my computer). But my preference is to see all texts in English and there's no way to change that preference for "What's new" in my GCalendar. Any suggestions?

Google Calendar Gadget suddenly stopped working

Howdy,

I just thought to pop next door from getsatisfaction/iwantsandy to my getsatisfaction/google_google_calendar neighbors to ask if anyone else had suddenly experienced a Google Calendar Gadget that went ga-ga?

Here's what I just posted to Google Groups: Google Calendar, in case it is helpful, anyone else has experienced the same issue (now or at another time), or there's a quick fix someone's happened across.

--

http://getsatisfaction.com/google/pro...

Hi,
I run the I want Sandy service over at http://iwantsandy.com. We've
had a Google Calendar Gadget used by a number of our users at
http://iwantsandy.com/static/gcal_gad... for a while now and it
has been working perfectly, until...
A day or so ago it summarily stopped working.
I checked the gadget iCalendar file and nothing's changed (aside from
its just being updated for a few more days every few days). I checked
it against the similar calendars of other comparable services and
nothing's out of place.
While I can subscribe to the calendar -- and it shows up as it always
have in the public list of calendars -- it no longer shows the icon on
my Google Calendar.
I made an exact copy of the file and put it at http://iwantsandy.com/static/gcal_gad...
and subscribed to that. It worked for all of 2 seconds (showed the
icon, etc) and then came back with an error: "Couldn't fetch
URL" (this thrown by Google Calendar via JavaScript). I tried again 3
times and suddenly, on the third try, it worked.
The original URL, though, http://iwantsandy.com/static/gcal_gad...
still shows a blank calendar.
Please can you provide some insight into why this is happening: I'd
like our clients to have a smooth experience using Google Calendar
with our service, but this is seemingly beyond our control (and the
control of the other posters who have experienced this sort of thing
in the thread pointed out by Dan above).

Why can't I reorder the calendars?

When I create events on my phone they get lumped into my school schedule. I'd rather they default into personal then I can move them into categories from there.

So, why can't I reorder my calendars? And, is that the real issue at play?!

This is weird, I get a mostly blank page, and none of the gcal links work.
