As mentioned in a feature request already, the Google Calendar Syncapplication *needs* to support Outlook categories. Specifically, there needs to be options for mapping Outlook categories to specific Google calendars or not syncing them at all.
My google calendar is acting weird. My events are not displayed normally for some of my dates, for example it displays +2more if I have two events for that date instead of listing the events so I can see them. If I click on the date the events will be revealed to me. Some dates are displayed normally though. Can you tell me what's going on??
I'd love mass delete functionality in Google Calendar search results. The use case is this: I imported a repeating event from iCal, Google Calendar imported it as 100's of individual events, instead of 1 repeating event. Now I have to manually delete each event one-at-a-time. It'd be great if I could search for an event within my Calendar, then use checkboxes, along with a Select All functionality, to delete all of these events. Thanks for listening!!
After a lot of aggravation and Google's archived 'Share Your Calendar' forum in the Google Calendar Group on here without resolutions, some good ol' trial and error seemed to have hacked it together to work.
While using Google Apps, in order to be able to embed your calendarelsewhere:
1- Create a user 'admin' with Admin privileges
2- Google Calendar settings for user: admin & yourusername
* Share this calendar with others
** Share this calendar with everyone in the domain > See all event details
Magically this made it show up.
It doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever why you don't have the option to 'See All Events' under Make This Calendar Public unless you have an 'admin' account on your domain. *Even* if 'yourusername' has Admin privileges. It *must* be called 'admin'.
I run a website where we make listings for upcoming shows available in a variety of different ways. We are currently developing an applet that allows a user to create a custom feed. For example, if I would like to subscribe to a listing of shows in my neighborhood, I would use this button to create that feed for me. I can subscribe to it as an RSS feed, or as an iCalendar.
We created the iCalendar option because there was demand for it from some of our users. However, most of our users are not going to understand how to subscribe to an iCalendar. I would like to create a "Add to Google Calendar" button that makes this process easy for anyone who uses Google Calendar. We have too many possible combinations of options for us to go to Google and make these calendars publicly available.
Replace all social networking with Google's contacts. Let users put whatever they wish in some profile like we can now with our picture in the google contacts. Assign views to everyone, select people, or groups. Through the user's contact profile you can see docs they have made public or shared with you, calendar's they have made public or shared with you, reader items shared and even mail shared.
No more facebook, plaxo, etc. Just google, sweet and simple :)
Fun! I just discovered the events that you can add to your calendar. I don't know how to link to the section, but if you type in "Holidays" in the search on Gcal you end up on a page that also displays a list of things that you can add to your calender, including TVshows, Events and more. If anyone knows how to link to that section by all means share!
So I succeeded in making my Google calendar public and shared it with my group on Facebook. I want to allow anyone on my Facebook group to edit the Calendar without having to go through the steps of giving them admin privileges.
Is it possible to allow anyone to edit my public Google calendar? If so, how? If not, does a free public calendar application exist out there that allows free for all editing?
I've set English (US) as a preferred language for my Google Calendar, however when I click on "What's new" (upper right corner) it shows me text in Polish (which is my native language and it's also default language set on my computer). But my preference is to see all texts in English and there's no way to change that preference for "What's new" in my GCalendar. Any suggestions?
When I create events on my phone they get lumped into my school schedule. I'd rather they default into personal then I can move them into categories from there.
So, why can't I reorder my calendars? And, is that the real issue at play?!
