I've searched extensively and found little or no help on enabling Gmail Labs on a Google Apps account. I have checked the new services box under 'General' in 'Domain Settings' for my domain, and waited about two weeks - still no 'Labs' tab in my Gmail settings.
It's frustrating that regular GMail users have these features rolled out almost seamlessly, but that there's very little help for those Apps users who are still wondering why we don't get access to the experimental features too. Consistent user experience shouldn't be something I have to ask for.
i'm running a 2.4GHz pentium 4 with windows XP home edition SP3 with 1GB or RAM. i downloaded google chrome and encountered problems when streaming video and playing flash content. for example, streaming a video from youtube will cause the whole browser, not just the tab, to lock up for up to a few seconds. alt tabing away from this window will cause the flash plugin to crash. this is a very frustrating problem for me because it is the only thing stopping me from making chrome my default browser. i have tested this to see if it maybe wasn't the browser but IE7 seems to play the youtube clips with no problems. sometimes the only thing that happens on chrome is the video will freeze (along with the whole browser) but the sound will keep playing. once the browser recovers, the video plays at double speed until it 'catches up' with the sound. Please look into this!! Chrome is a really awesome browser and i would like for it to be my default
My friend who invited me to gmail about 4 years ago was sent a mail from google to reset MY password! He notified me and I've done this, but now I go into google "privacy policy" link and my safari 1.3.2 justs quits. I still feel my account is comprimised as can't give feedback to google. I can still access my account though feel I now need to keep changing my password on a regular basis.
I hear google is working on a new form of GMAIL, and i am wondering when it is coming out roughly speaking, also, if you could comment are there any cool new features that will be included.
Don't know if this affects a standard mouse but scrolling with the touch pad on my Vaio is far too fast.
It's so uncontrollable I have now resorted to scrolling with the side bar, how 1980's is that.
Accepting this one problem Chrome is good. I like the stripped down design intent and it's noticeably faster than FF3.
Device manager lists the touch pad as Alps Electric.
I hope GOOG can give us an update quickly that will resolve this issue although it is kind of hard to believe it wasn't noticed before release.
When I google it, plenty seem to experience the touch pad only scrolling in one direction, down not up. I haven't experienced this but the too fast issue is also mentioned.
I prefer google docs to MS Word for collaborative development of documents, but I can only see one section of the document I'm working on. This is very frustrating.
I would like to open multiple small sections of the document by expanding sections of an outline. Often I need to refer to multiple related sections in order to ensure they support each other and are not redundant.
The google docs format button already provides 3 levels of heading formats.
Why not provide an outline view similar to MS Word with +/- signs (or other method) for expanding/contracting outline sections at each header.
It would really help me be more productive if I were able to view the entire document at a high level and expand only the sections I wish to work on.
I'd love mass delete functionality in Google Calendar search results. The use case is this: I imported a repeating event from iCal, Google Calendar imported it as 100's of individual events, instead of 1 repeating event. Now I have to manually delete each event one-at-a-time. It'd be great if I could search for an event within my Calendar, then use checkboxes, along with a Select All functionality, to delete all of these events. Thanks for listening!!
The email signature I use consistently across a normal Gmail account and a few Google Apps accounts now has the tendency to lose it's formatting, specifically line breaks. I've emptied my cache and cookies multiple times to no avail. Help!
Today I woke up and tried to login to my gmail account to check my email like I usually do. When I try to login it says the username and account password does not match. Strange so I tried to recover my password. I type in my username then the swirly letters and it says "there are no accounts in our system" with that name!!! When I try to recover my username with the seccondary email account it says that there are no google gmail accounts under this name. When I try to sign up for another gmail account it says my name is already taken. I know my account was compromised because I even changed my password yesterday and was using the new password no problem until 1am Feb25th. I get up and suddenly no luck! Google's help pages and "support" or lack-there-of is also not helpful at all. Nothing I have tried even remotely feels like its working. it's like someone just deleted my account with a new password I just set on it for kicks and giggles. I wish there was something someone could do about this.
There should be a grace period of at least 24 hours before an account is truly deleted, to allow people to recover accounts that were maliciously or accidentally deleted.
I just tried to delete my secondary Google Account (used for Groups only) and I had Gmail open in another tab. Both of them have the same username, just one is @gmail.com and the other is with another provider. I signed into the secondary account and then went to the delete my account page. It just showed the first part of the username, not the entire email address, so of course, I thought it was deleteing the secondary account that I just signed into. As it turns out, I just erased my entire primary Google account with my email, contacts, documents and everything. It really, really sucks.
I know I made a mistake and should have triple checked somehow (although I don't know how I would have done this, since it didn't show the full email address on the delete page), but there should be some way to recover a deleted account. Even a five-minute grace period would have saved me this pain. Why!? Why!?
you can't be serious... no way to delete "unwanted articles"? How are the Reader's trends generated? Right, when I read an article. And the only way to "delete".. wrong word... to "hide" and article is by reading it?
Maybe I'm stupid, but I thought every normal feed reader has some "delete" button?
I'm shocked! This would have been such an easy win for Google, but for some reason they have not integrated the google "office" apps into one holistic experience ... seems like if you built the browser and own the apps, then this would have really provided a "wow" factor and given proof of concept that chrome is truly better at running apps.
Instead, just like in safari and firefox, Chrome still keeps creating new and multiple tabs every time I bounce back and forth between calendar, gmail, and docs. The end result is that at the end of the work day, I have about 10 calendars open and 9 docs home pages (of course, this doesn't happen because I'm vigilant about closing them).
Doesn't chrome know these tabs are already open? Jeez, if you guys want to compete with MSOffice, this problem has to be solved. Nobody wants to continue paying microsoft, but we need a real alternative that works.
Google Groups is really nice but please provide some spam check. Maybe the user has to confirm his/her post via mail? Or click a link on a web page and enter a 400 digit code or whatever...
Don’t think I’m lying when I say more than the half of Google Groups is full of spam posts. In the past I remember I reported every spam message I’ve found... but even weeks.. and even MONTHS they are still there. No one cares?
I thought Google Groups would be the "next generation" of the good ol’ Usenet? Sorry, but the good old Usenet is having less spam posts.
My Google Calendar does not send reminders at all - not by email, not by sms. Tried to delete and reset reminders again - no luck there. I wonder how temporary the problem is.
one would think that if you put 49ers dvds or san francisco 49ers dvds that my site would come up somewhere. It used to to be first but cannot find it anywhere.

GMail search cannot locate partial-word searches. For instance if I want to find e-mails from angelag@gmail.com, and I type "angela" - her e-mails will not appear as results. When is it going to be fixed?
With most Windows applications, there is a title bar which gives approximately a 1 cm buffer in the top of the screen. This is convenient for people who use the Windows Language Bar, as the language bar sits just to the left of the minimize, maximize, and close buttons at the top-right of a maximized window. However, since Chrome has no title-bar, I find myself constantly having to move my Language Bar around in order to close tabs or windows. It would be nice if there were an option to keep the title bar.
