I was just thinking how nice it would be for Google to buy Twitter. For one, they could make great integration with gmail an other products in the google world, Two, finally fix that IM problem, as well as make great new features.
Why do my Youtube videos take a long time to load (3-4 minutes) when the videos on a computer sharing the same connection and using the same browser load instantly?
It doesn't matter if I use Firefox or IE the video still takes an eternity to load. I have a Gateway laptop with 1gb ram 1.6Ghz processor running windows xp sp3.
On the Adwords keyword tool, after searching for a term, if I grab the scroll bar and move it far up or down the list of suggestions, the computer locks up until the browser is force quit.
I mean, when you open Firefox and go to Tools\Options\Applications, there is a dropdown menu for handling rss feeds that lets you choose which application/web service you want to subscribe feeds with. iGoogle, which is a less obvious solution, is already there.
It would be of great convenience for Firefox users to have Google Reader there. So why not let them add it by providing an option for generating an appropriate xml file to open with Firefox?
It's clearly a conflict with an extension, but I can't figure out which one. When I launch FF in Safe Mode I have no issues at all.
I've disabled Firebug, and have turned off Greasemonkey. I've heard that perhaps it is the Web Developer extension -- but honestly, I refuse to turn that one off. I use it constantly.
I am constantly being kicked out to the login screen as I'm working with Adwords. I will be adding keywords or editing bids, and then after clicking submit, It will bring me to the login screen, log me in automatically, and I will be on the dashboard. My changes will not be saved.
Well my computer was recently bombarded with viruses but after running MANY tests from Spyware Doctor, Avast, Spybot: Search and Destroy, and Verizon Internet Security, Verizon and Spybot always came up blank or the promblem still continued after a scan so i uninstalled them. I installed Avast and Spyware Doctor and after running a scan with Avast the problem seams to have been solved. But now Google, Yahoo, and alot of other search engines do not load when i search somthing. Some pages wont load either (just the ads load) The progres bar is completely blank. I use the browser Mozilla Firefox but i dont think internet explorer works either. Also, pages seem to take longer to load aswell. Could it be that 1 of my antiviruses did somthing? Could i still have a virus in my system? Whenever i run a new test it always shows viruses yet the last scans always claim they found and deleted all viruses already. i dont think firewalls are the promblem either.. also, i tried system restoring but i didnt hav a restore point going far enough to fix this but ill try again... plz help me. p.s would reinstalling firefox or another new browser help?
I get a strange gray box in Google Reader whenever I am using it. I don't know what is causing it, but sometimes I can highlight the text behind it so I can read and it sometimes it scrolls at a different rate than the rest of the window. It looks like it is caused by Java though I could be way off. I am using Firefox 2.0.0.12 on OS X 10.5.2. I took a screenshot of it to show what it looks like and I am wondering if anyone else has run into something similar.
'We're sorry. It seems there is a problem. Please try using Gmail with a supported browser. If you're encountering this error while using a supported browser, we suggest alerting your Internet Service Provider (ISP) that a proxy is failing to accept cookies on HTTP redirects.'
uh? i've been using gapps on firefox since we got the mac a year ago. i can't figure out why the proxy would start failing to accept cookies now.
the auto-search of Flock works with yahoo, this means less good results, not as good worldwide support and no direct redirect to best match. So I think it would be a better idea if the users could chose to have the standard firefox search options.
