Recently active topics in Google tagged with mobile

I just switched the Blackberry service over to Gmail's IMAP server and now I get messages like 15-20 minutes after they're received in the browser.

With POP3 I was getting messages on my phone before they even hit my computer.

Let me know how to optimize this because I'm mega frustrated right now.

I can't setup mobile access for Google Calendar. I never receive the verification code requests. Sprint is my carrier. Please advise, thank you.
