Account now unavailable

I have accounts with a brand name I have used for years. I'm pretty sure I created a gmail account in the first wave a beta invites, but gmail says the name doesn't exist. If I try to create an account, it says the name isn't available. I believe the account was disabled by accident. I have exhausted the few avenues of communication with gmail.
