Inappropriate?I don't think so. You should just be able to edit the domain name associated with your current Adsense account. Looks like you click on the "My Account" tab and then edit the "Onsite advertiser sign up".

Inappropriate?Your Google adsense account is independent of the domain(s) you use for displaying ads. As I understand it, you can have any number of domains and show ads on some or all of them. Login to your Adsense account, go to Adsense Setup -> Allowed Sites, and you'll be able to whitelist the domains that can show ads.
You can also set Adsense to allow ads from your account to appear on *any* domain. This is a different policy than they had in the beginning, where you had to get approval for each domain you wanted to show ads on.
