Doc View and Cursor Jump During Auto Save
I'm editing a 70-page document in Google docs. It has many footnotes and is shared with a number of people. As I am typing, it will auto-save and when it does this, it will shift the view of the page and reposition my cursor so that typing is inserted at the wrong place. I've tried Firefox 3.5 and Google Chrome but to no avail. It's pretty unusable at this point.
Just an addendum, I was being too kind in my original report. This is unbearable. I've tried deleting footnotes and removing all collaborators but that didn't work. So then I tried downloading it as a Word document so that I could edit it there but of course it looks nothing like what I was doing online so that seemed like a mistake.
Anyway, I used to recommend that companies use Google Docs rather than invest in Microsoft products. Guess what I would recommend now - spend the thousands of dollars on Microsoft because you'll get that money back in productivity.
A further addendum... a workaround is discovered! So when the auto-save occurred, the page would jump down to where I at one point had a footnote. I had deleted that footnote thinking it might fix the problem but that didn't work. But what did work was to delete the entire paragraph that had the deleted footnote in it. Now when the document auto-saves at least it doesn't jump around and move my cursor.
Now I no longer need to be very frustrated!
YAA (Yet Another Addendum): I'm frustrated again! The problem has returned. It's in the same area of the document as before but it's happening less often?

Inappropriate?Having the exact same problem, Google Docs seems to be extremely buggy, jumping up an down while saving (which it does like every minute). Also, I get random script errors sometimes forcing me to reload the page.
