Feature suggestions for Picasa....Maybe basic but seemingly essential.

Something that I always wanted to see with Picasa (even when using the PC version years ago) was the ability to make subtle changes in viewing the pictures. Right now I go back and forth between Picasa and Phoenix Slides. Unfortunately, Phoenix Slides' development seems to be on hiatus at least.

Features that would make Picasa more enjoyable to use (for me):

*showing pictures from subfolders (via a checkbox) instead of having to drill down in the folder tree. I like the folder tree because I can select a main folder of images, but I'd like to be able to see within folders without having to click on them in the folder tree. This could be done by adding a checkbox to the interface (maybe just above the folder tree) simply called "look in subfolders" or "Subfolders".

*changing the default transparency color/pattern. This would help designers and developers know which images are really transparent and which aren't so they can better determine if the image can be used in their design/software. Adobe Bridge is extremely slow for most of us so I don't ever use it for this purpose.

*turning off upscaling of small images. I have alot of icons I've purchased and others that were free that I've downloaded to use for developing applications/databases. I'd like to be able to see those images at strictly 100% without having to select to view them. Right now Picasa will upscale the icons making it hard to tell what they really look like because they're all blurry. This feature would eliminate the need to use the Finder or Phoenix Slides to help a developers see what they have to work with.

*drag/drop folder onto Picasa (from the Finder) to show it in the folder tree.

*rescanning option (from folder tree context menu)
