Firefox + Google = All Google, all the time!
No matter what is typed into the navagation bar or the favorites or whatever firefox always goes to the Google site and displays Google pages or error messages. This makes 7 times I have loaded this no good stinking smelly program after cleaning my registry and all google and all Mozilla files ahd it still does the same thing. I do not know if the problem belongs to Firefox or Google or a combination of the two. HELP!

Inappropriate?1) Which version of Firefox?
2) Can you give me a specific example, type in "http://getfirefox.com" then copy the full URL of the resulting page and paste it in this forum.
3) Do followed links from one page to the next take you where you'd expect to go?
4) And finally, could you enter 'about:config' in your address bar and verify that a whole pile of settings appear?
My working theory is that Firefox is stuck in its "I'm feeling lucky" mode. I have heard intermittent reports of people using Firefox ending up at the US Department of Commerce website when they click on a link with 'doc' in it.
