flock: yahoo vs. google
the auto-search of Flock works with yahoo, this means less good results, not as good worldwide support and no direct redirect to best match. So I think it would be a better idea if the users could chose to have the standard firefox search options.

Inappropriate?Click the little down arrow in the search box, and then select Search Preferences. You'll see this alert box:

Select Google or another search engine as your default. Voila!

Inappropriate?nope, thats only for the search bar, not for the address bar, and this last one has really good features with the Google-version.
for instance, if you just type the name of a site you get redirected to this site immediately, and if it exists in your language you go straight to that site, so no www. and .com or whatever, and much faster surfing on the web. now with yahoo if i just type the name of the site I just get search results and the sites in my language aren't even there in most cases.

Inappropriate?Oh, I see what you mean. They were probably using Google's "feeling lucky" feature or something like it. It's a shame Yahoo! can't follow that act with something more compelling.

Inappropriate?Howdy folks,
Check out http://flock.com/faq/show/30#q_11642 and I think you should be able to get the behavior from the address bar you are looking for. To set it to Google's "I'm feeling lucky" search, set the value to http://www.google.co.in/search?btnI=I...
There's also a list of engines you can use at http://www.devilsworkshop.org/2007/06...
Hope that helps!
