GMail's filters are brilliant, but why can't they apply more than one label or forward to multiple email addresses?
Using filters and labels has made GMail my tool of choice for productivity, but I'm finding it a pain to have to create multiple filters to add multiple labels or to forward emails to multiple recipients.
While I can set up a mailing list in my Google Apps management console that lets me get around the multiple email address limitation, I don't have any other workaround for assigning multiple labels.
[ + Add another Label ] would be a great button to see!

Inappropriate?I agree with this. I use the GDTInbox plugin for Gmail and it would be nice to have the filters attach more than one label. For instance I get an email from work. I'd want to be able to attach P/current work project & C/work and if it so happens to have an invite with some meeting info, the also add C/meeting.

Inappropriate?Hey!
I've been fighting against the Forward-To-One-Address-Only limitation in filters for many weeks now. I'm really happy that I found someone who knows this problem and who is actually able to solve it. My problem is, that I don't understand how you did it :(! Could you please explain the technique to me?
I’m confused

Inappropriate?@aero: You've stumbled upon some people who know of the problem, but sadly - and I can't speak for Ox here - I don't know how to solve the problem, short of getting someone from the GMail team in here.
Which I can't do either! -
Inappropriate?the only solution I found is just to create the same filter several times but forwarding each time to a different address, it is shabby but works.
I’m resigned

Inappropriate?I will have to do this if there is no other possibility. I would be pleased if somebody told if there is something new about it! Otherwisen I have to create 95 filters.
Thanks for your effort!

this is one of the best points

Inappropriate?Try using || (is OR in programming languages) to separate emails in the filtering part, this allows you to select more than 1 email. This doesnt works for the forwarding... there's no solution for that.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?I'm trying to see if creating multiple filters can serve as a temporary fix for the multiple labels issue. The XML import tip will be next.

Inappropriate?A big mess is it with filters! Quite good solution, but not enough for me!
Why can't you reorder filters?
Why does a filter delete a message before validating other operands like label: or in:?
What's the problem with operands like label: and in: in filters?
A backup and restore feature would be a great thing!!
Then a native import and export feature would be very desirable!
My idea is that they should invent and replace the filter engine with a smart lightweight scripting language. (should be understandable, not like ASM or C)
argh! I am simply frustrated!

Inappropriate?perhaps integrate python in all their services?
