Google "disabled" my 18 month old Gmail account... no reasons given & appears to not care
Just found out earlier today that my 18 month-old Gmail account has been "disabled" by Google. So I submitted two different forms in order to get my account back, and provided all the information that was requested, including exact date the account was opened, the email used to open it, and the original invitation URL & verification code.
Google's reply: "Thank you for your report. We were unable to verify that you own this account based on the information you provided. As a result, we've disabled this account, and we can't give you access to it.
For more information about disabled accounts, please visit the following link in the Google Accounts Help Center:
http://google.com/support/accounts/bi...
Please don't reply to this email, as we won't be able to review your response. If your question wasn't answered, please search or browse the Google Accounts Help Center at http://www.google.com/support/accounts/"
I gave them ALL of the information they requested. It appears they're just sending out auto replies without even a glance at the information they asked for.
Who can I contact, and how can I get my account back up and running? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Inappropriate?it's day 5 and I've just been round the loop again. I bet I'm going to get another stupid email saying "we can't do anything to help you". Their forms are STUPID. I'm am really pissed off by this stage. There is no option to say WHAT the problem is.
It's inane. They won't allow me to use my gmail address because they say "use an email address you can access". BUT...
I can access my gmail I just can't log in to my gmail account online to change my preferences because I don't know the fricking password.
IF they would just send me an email I could respond thus proving I am the owner of the account. -
Inappropriate?i filled out both of the forms many times and i finally got a real person to reply to activate my account again. lesson learned keep a copy of all important emails.
I’m happy

how many months was it before you were contacted? 800 billion? :( -
Laurien - I never did hear anything back from Gmail. Reading about your problem - mine was a little different. I resolved it myself eventually. Maybe this will help you. I didn't know my password but I could still use my GMail-ID via Adium (message app for Mac). Then someone told me I could retrieve my password by looking in the XML file for Adium BUT EVEN BETTER I could use Apple's Keychain Access utility. OMG it took months to learn that simple solution. -
Inappropriate?hey austin that's good to hear. I'm now hopeful again.

Inappropriate? My account was disabled over a month ago. I my case its because there was a supposed security issue with Google Checkout - the worthless redundant buying service that I signed up for to get 10% off some gear. What a fool. After many hours and emails, I finally got a response from Henry of the Google Checkout Team. He wanted crazy amounts of security verification that I couldn't provide without access to my email. He then offered to transfer my case to the Gmail Team...I replied YES PLEASE. That was nearly a month ago and Henry has dropped off the map. My case was dropped with no response after numerous followup emails. At this point, I've given up.
The Googlesphere is inherently evil and here's why. They promote trust that lures users with awesome free cloud computing service. I foolishly trusted Google and used Gmail, Docs, and Picassa to safeguard my data. Now, because of some BS Checkout problem, they've locked me away from my data. IMAP made the situation far worse, since I now have lost 3-years worth of email data. INSANE. I blasted the cheerleaders at Lifehacker who promote all things Google. I suggest that anyone who suffers a similar fate do the same. The word needs to get out that Google can't be trusted.
I’m pissed!!

Inappropriate?yes I had my google email disabled for NO APPARENT REASONS and furthermore, if you read their TOS it basically allows them to close an email anytime they feel like without a reason and what's worse for ANY REASON
