how green are you, google?
I suggest that Eric Schmidt asks Obama to go to Copenhagen!
by the way: what are Google's emission targets?!

Inappropriate?I cannot speak for Mr Schmidt or President Obama, but to answer the second part of your question, Google became carbon neutral two years ago:

Additionally, approximately one third of the electricity used at our headquarters is generated onsite using solar panels:

I’m green.

Energy consumed at your Corp HQ is but a tiny fraction of the energy you consume.
Additionally, being neutral is not enough: as a thought leader, Google should be working actively to *reduce* its carbon emissions.
Companies like IBM have published their carbon usage, and targets to reduce it. Why isn't Google doing the same. Don't be Evil! :-) -
Inappropriate? One third is good. But still... It's only one third.
Geniuses can do better than that.
Peace!
I’m a believer

Inappropriate?A Company the size of Google, with all its financial resources can do a lot better than one third! I've saved more CO2 in my own home than that, and I'm semi-retired!!!
-
Inappropriate?I think that Google needs to make much more of an effort to mitage the amount of electricity it uses. Please push to use more than just 1/3 renewable energy at your headoffice! Start with making all your google offices & complexes use 1/3... (and then start working on increasing that!!)
I’m not exactly impressed

Inappropriate? If we all saved a third of the planet, we'd have... a third of a planet. Come on Google!
