I got a Google Voice invite but i live in Canada. Now what?
I was sooo excited to finnally get one but unfortunately I can't even access my account because it isn't aavailable in Canada? What do I do? Will it be available soon? Help! Thanks

Use ipkall.com to get a free US number.
Use iptel.org and sign up for account.
Forward google voice number to ipkall.com phone number from step 2

Inappropriate?Another thing to note is that Google Voice only uses IP checks when you are first signing up. After that, once you are signed up, you dont have to do anything special to login. Just login normally.
And for some strange reason, I am not being charged for calls to Canada either on Google Voice. All posts on this topic mention that Google charges for calls to Canada. However, I have been using it for a while and still have the original $.10 credit they give you for signing up. -

Inappropriate?i live in canada too, but i changed my ip signed up and used an ipkall number as the home number google wanted, if u dont mind paying few bucks u can get a us number and forward it to ur cell
